Chair
Jayda Ahmad
Jayda Ahmad serves as the Chair of Muslim Culture Con (MCC) Committee. She is currently living in Atlanta, GA, and is a part of the Atlanta Muslim Community. Jayda graduated from W.D Mohammed High school in 2017 and received her Bachelor's Degree of Science in Psychology & Human Services. She’s always a student and is currently a part of the Islamic Leadership Training and Development Program by the Conveners of Imams. Jayda is a community organizer but how she states it is a community builder! She is also the program director of an organization called The Muslim Mix located in Atlanta, GA. As a young Muslim leader in her community, she is a strong advocate for the Muslim community life and passionate about planting the seeds for what's to come in the future and preserving the language of Imam Warith Deen Mohammad.

Vice Chair
Khadejah Abdullah
Kadejah Abdullah serves as the Vice-Chair and Co-Chair of Finance and Registration on the Muslim Culture Con (MCC) Committee. She currently lives in Dallas, TX. Kadejah is an alumna of Clara Muhammad School which brings her a deeper level of compassion and utmost love for the community. She is a wife and mother of two lovely children. Kadejah purpose in MCC and the community, in general, is to bring hiqmah, responsibility, and continuation to all of the beautiful sacrifices that those before us made. Kadejah wants to keep the torch lit for future generations to come.

Treasurer & Director of Finance
Akil Shabazz
Akil Shabazz serves as the Treasurer on the Muslim Culture Con (MCC) Committee. Akil is a South Florida native, who attended Masjid Al-Ansar as a youth. He graduated from Florida International University in 2016 with a bachelor of science in Biomedical Engineering. In 2021, he graduated from the Morehouse School of Medicine with a Masters of Science in Biotechnology. He is an Islamic worker & activist with experience organizing muslim youth nationally and locally in South Florida with the Muslim American Society.
Akil currently resides in Philadelphia, PA, and attends the Masjidullah, the Center of Human Excellence. Along with MCC, he also volunteers as an youth organizer for Masjidullah's Youth Department and organizes engineering learning activities for the Al-Waqia Jawala Scout Troop

Secretary
Zaid Hameed
Zaid Hameed serves as the Secretary on the Muslim Culture Con (MCC) Committee. Zaid is a community organizer and poet born and raised in East St. Louis, IL. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2017 with a degree in Communication. He attended the Clara Mohammed School in St. Louis, Mo where he was also a member of the Al-Muminun Islamic Center up until 2022.
Zaid currently resides in Decatur, Ga, and attends the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam. Along with MCC, he also volunteers as an after-school creative writing and poetry slam instructor/coach for Mohammed Schools of Atlanta.

Director of Fundraising & Sponsorship
Fatima Ali
Fatima Ali, a dynamic young Muslim woman from Houston, Texas, is the Sponsorship Coordinator on the MCC Committee. She also serves as the Special Programs and Outreach Coordinator at Mercy Community Center, creating Muslimah Nights and acting as an interfaith ambassador. Fatimah is a lead Web Developer at Masjid Warithudeen Mohammad and Mercy Community Center. She recently joined the Islamic Learning Institute's Leadership Team as a Young Scholars Arabic Instructor and Technical Support Specialist. She holds a B.A. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics, earning the Carrie M. True Prize for her religious leadership.

Director of Volunteer Services
Aiesha Rasheed
Aiesha Rasheed serves as the Volunteer/ Hospitality Coordinator on the Muslim Culture Con (MCC) Committee. Born into the Warithud-deen Mohammad Muslim community, Aiesha Rasheed began leading talks and volunteering as a teenager. As a young adult, she has been proactive in leading Taleems and initiatives to create spaces for young adults. Aiesha was a co-founder of the Young Muslim Association in Houston in 2018 and also assists her cousin, Fatimah Ali, with Muslimah Nights which allows teen and young adult Muslimahs to gather, learn, and grow in faith together. Aiesha is a part of the Islamic Learning Institute staff as an Arabic Fluency Lab instructor.

Nandee Shabazz
Nandee Shabazz is a third generation Black American Muslim from South Florida with roots in California and Texas. Nandee received her bachelor's from Florida International University in international relations and political science, and a Masters in Public Policy from George Mason University.
She has been active in her local community and on the national level for the past 8 years. She has worked with the Muslim American Society, Council on American-Islamic Relations - Florida, and currently works as a trainer for the Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative after finishing a year-long fellowship.
Nandee has a passion for community building and event programming. Her specialization is in the marrying of social equity concepts and the Islamic principles of community sustainability.

Director of Member Services
Jafr Shabazz
Jafr-Tayar Shabazz, the Director of Member Services at MCC, is a 24-year-old individual with a close-knit family of six siblings, two of whom are also involved with MCC. Jafr-Tayar is currently in the final stages of completing a master's degree in medical physics at Duke University and holds a bachelor's degree in Physics with a minor in astronomy from Florida International University.
His unwavering commitment to family and community, particularly in uplifting Black Americans in the United States, is of utmost importance to him. With a longstanding involvement in the Muslim community, both locally and nationally, Jafr-Tayar recognized the need for a space tailored to young adult Black American Muslims. This led him to discover MCC, the Muslim Culture Con, a vital platform for young adult Muslims to connect on a national level.
